For as long as wirecore lanyards have been around, they’ve come with steel snaps. D-rings used to be steel, and the wire core ends used to be uncovered, so it made sense to have steel-on-steel contact.

Those days are over. Modern saddles utilize aluminum D-rings. Rope Logic produced wire-core lanyards have the steel-core encased throughout the entire lanyard. All of this led to a simple question: “Why aren’t we using aluminum snaps on our wire-core lanyards?”

The answer was equally simple: “Let’s start!” So, we’re pleased to present our new wire-core 2-N-1 Lanyards with standard aluminum locking snaps!

Great piece of kit! Review by Warren V.
Nice wirecore flip lanyard. Makes it easier to advance over branches without the need for a second safety. Prusik with snap is removable from the lanyard without destroying it, you just have to get the prusik wraps as tight and as close together as possible and then work the snap through the gap in the prusik as you normally would on any other prusik loop. IF you are unaccustomed to using a prusik and snap as a lanyard adjuster you may want to consider getting one with a rope grab style adjuster. Works as expected and the splicing is high quality as always with rope logic. (Posted on 3/20/2018)
I'm new . . this works. I need a longer one also. Review by F. Pickett
I am working on a large Chinese Elm in a tight side yard with a neighbor's garage, wires, a fence, and a house all making the work tedious. I am learning and having a great time. The lanyard works great. (Posted on 8/12/2014)
Good 2 in 1 Review by J. Sisco
Works good for the most part. I like the ability to jump branches. The prusik can get a bit too tight to adjust sometimes. There doesn't seem to be a non destructive way to change to a different kind of prusik cord. (Posted on 3/29/2014)
