Exellent read... Review by Rob C
This is a great, informative book... as a homeowner I've cut down a couple dozen or so trees of various sizes and after reading this book I realize some of the "get it done quickly" practices that I learned from experienced guys "in the business" was very dangerous. I like the constant focus on safety, the methods to assess/plan a cutting and the variety of safe techniques that can be used to bring a tree down. The chapter on "Felling Difficult Trees" was of particular interest for the reason that most trees present difficult circumstances and the information in this book helps to recognize and deal with those problems.
