Sena Device with Installation Option
- Product Review (submitted on May 14, 2018):
- Bought 4 of these (1 for each crew member) I think we made it 2 weeks before they literally start falling apart. Make sure you have superglue handy because every Velcro point will fail and your mic will flop around. First you try to glue the Velcro pad... then the Velcro gets worn and the mic falls off the Velcro. Then the mic is not durable at all. Rain hits it... it’s done. So that’s the quality, now the pairing. Good luck getting 4 of these to work for 8hrs straight on a job site. It’s about every 15 min, someone gets bumped out and can’t get back in and then out of nowhere it beeps and they are back in. Yes... we watched the video on 4 person pairing and did it twice. Location of button on the back is not climber friendly. Constantly bumping it and getting kicked out. Let’s face it... this is a motorcycle com system that is attempting to be retrofitted in a rugged industry. It just doesn’t work well in the Tree care industry. I absolutely love it when it works and it makes the job site safer/more efficient, but really becomes more of a hassle when 3 guys are in and one groundsman is kicked out. Constantly having to pull off one ear and yell at a guy who has his muffs on but his com isn’t working so he can’t hear you. Save yourself the hassle and maybe try the rugged version over the Velcro/glue and wires rats nest that this product provides you. Works great if you wear your hard hat while riding your motorcycle. Heck get a kask and have your wife wear it with this installed while you cruise in your Honda Gold Wing, but leave it on your bike and find something else for your job site.
