Silky POCKETBOY 170 Fine Teeth
- Product Review (submitted on January 29, 2014):
- The saw itself is a good product. I also own a PocketBoy with a shorter blade but large teeth, and wanted one with fine teeth for pruning work on delicate green wood (contrary to Silky's own recommendations regarding tooth size in the saw description- large tooth size is NOT best for pruning green wood on ornamentals). It's the case and clip that don't meet standards. The saw fits in the case in only one position- awkward and disruptive to work flow to have to pay attention to when stashing the saw. The belt clip isn't just not useful, it's a detriment. Tucking the clip in is not secure during work activity, it's a good way to lose the saw. Threading your belt through the clip only holds one of the 2 wires of the clip. The case winds up twisting while you work. Don't know what the Silky designers were thinking when they worked on this case and clip- feels more like a toy than a work tool. It gets 2 stars due to the case and clip.
