I like having the hearing protection right there when I'm working. The problem with these is that they throw the balance of the helmet off. The weight is enough to notice and the added obstruction on top of the helmet when they are in store position gets in the way climbing. I didn't have them on my helmet long when I took them off. Maybe that's a matter of preference but I just didn't like them. So what's the value of a product that you bought but don't use? (Posted on 2/26/2017)

The KASK EAR DEFENDERS SC2 EAR MUFFS are a helpful addition to the KASK Safety Helmets. These ear muffs are easily installed and deployed for use. Providing ample noise reduction, these ear muffs snap into place over the ears with a positive click and seal out harmful noise well. The muffs stow securely at the rear of the helmet and remain in place till needed. Require four simple steps to use: 1. Lift muff to snap lock for use. 2. Extend stem to allow spacing from helmet surface. 3. Rotate muff and stem to over the ear side position. 4. Apply pressure to muff and stem to secure over ears with a positive snap lock movement......To stow to back of helmet, just reverse the procedure.
