The core of your climb kit Review by Justin

I really like this saddle. The buckles take a little getting used to but are very secure. The leg straps come extra long but can be trimmed. It has a great amount of adjustability and all the accessory loops are right where I need them. For such a light saddle it has a great amount of support and stiffness where I need it. I use transporters on each side and I will probably add a caritool or 2 on the back along with an emergency blood stopper. This saddle is a well thought out design with production tree work in mind. I purchased this saddle from sherrilltree and I absolutely hate it.
The reason for my dissatisfaction is the top buckle.
It's such a horrible design and extremely hard to adjusted whether you're tightening it or loosening it.
The wedding that it's made of is extremely cheap and seems to lack the strength needed for this type of job.
it doesn't seem like it will be on the job a long time before it's worn out due to the cheap materials that it's made from.
If there were a better Buckle system it could be considered a decent piece of equipment.
I also am not happy with the placement of the D rings and they seem to flip backwards and I find myself needing to constantly look at the D rings when I reattach my lanyards during a climb.
Other than that, it's light and the velcro waist wrap helps with performance those are the strong points. (Posted on 7/5/2018)

Really really happy with this purchase. Got this last month at Arborfest, where I actually won another really nice saddle. I haven't even tried that one out yet because I have really been feeling this one. Switched from buttplate and stationary d-rings and I happy with the rang of mobility. It's super lightweight and comfortable . (Posted on 6/23/2018)

Just pick up this saddle. Love the way it fits in the waist. I'm a 36-38 waist. Plenty of room for adjustment. Unfortunately before I can climb with it I am returning it. The leg straps are way to big for me. I am a little disappointed in that. Everything I have read about it said it was the go to saddle. (Posted on 6/18/2018)
Good choice for comfort and attachment points. Review by Jaryd

I was forced to buy a new climbing saddle due to having my gear bag stolen (weaver 4D harness, 2 sets of spurs, wirecore flipline with rock grab, 2 prussik hitches, micro pully, and 6 carabiners.) from a parking lot during our lunch break. So I went to a participating Vermeer store that sold Sherrill tree gear here in Ontario, Canada. I was going to pick up this saddle before the busy season started but like I said was forced to buy it earlier then I wanted. But I am Real happy with my choice of purchasing the Notch Sentinel ( I considered buying the weaver harness again to save a couple bucks) it hugs tightly around your waist with little to no movement, there are many attachment points and they are right where you need them. I love the rope bridge. the ring slides so smothly across it keeping you at a comfortable position. Although I still have to purchase a micro pully and a few prussiks and carabiners to have everything replaced. This saddle has brought some light back to my dark days of having to spend all the money to replace everything. I would definitely recommend buying this saddle for comfort and attachment points. Just try not to be forced too, like I have. (Posted on 3/30/2018)

When I first got this saddle I tried it on and comeing from a old basic buckingham wayyyyyyy different feel and at first I tried to leave the legs Alittle loose moral being I didn't like it at first then before I was gonna send it back I adjusted it one more time with everything tightend up. So happy I did I climb with this saddle all the time leg straps are awesome back pads comfortable I ended up picking up the notch rook for the rope bridge and it's even better and they didn't skimp out on attachment points the back is covered and they're placed in all the right spots cannot recommend it enough I got a small petzl caritool for my right side and It made climbing even easier idk if I'll ever climb on my old saddle again thanks sherrill for always delivering this industry with awesome quality stuff and standing behind your products !
