Details

Systrex/Nutrient (Triadimefon & Fertilizer) is a broad-spectrum systemic fungicide and micronutrient solution for the treatment and reinvigoration of trees declining due to abiotic and disease-related causes. Systrex/Nutrient contains Bayleton fungicide from Bayer AG and a fertilizer solution including Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium

This formulation has proven effective for the suppression of fungi in shade trees, flowers, foliage, and woody shrubs. Systrex/Nutrient controls plant diseases including Rust, Powdery Mildew, Leaf Spots/Blight, Tip Blight, Anthracnose, and Vascular Wilt on trees in golf courses, parks and other urban and residential areas.

Systrex/Nutrient has been particularly effective in treating conifers and hardwoods suffering from the effects of construction damage and environmental modification.

General Instructions (Read Entire Label):
• Use one 14 mL SYSTREX/NUTRIENT microinjection unit for each 3 inches of tree trunk circumference.
• Unless otherwise noted, microinjection units should be installed in the stem and root flares near the ground line (i.e., 2.0-8.0” from the soil surface).
• Microinjection units containing SYSTREX/NUTRIENT may require up to several minutes or more to empty depending on the health of the treated tree and local weather conditions.
• Remove with caution. Never assume that microinjection units have depressurized completely because they appear nearly empty or empty.

Please read entire product label before use.

This product works well, especially for trees that are stressed or need vigor. plastic parts can be over forced and break so be gentle with the rubber mallet and wear gloves and face shield. (Posted on 9/6/2016)

I break about one out of six so I'm not too happy about that. They fracture at the neck. But the product has worked well to control cedar-apple rust on our prairifire crabapple planted 50 feet from an Eastern Red Cedar. This year I wanted to experiment so I used Alamo, instead. That was a big mistake. First, the fluid is so thick that the tree emptied only 60% of the units even though I left them in for 12 hours before giving up. Second, after I made my purchase, I saw in the instructions the disclaimer that Alamo won't work the first year. Our crabapple shows signs of serious infection and it's only the third week in May.I'm going back to Systrex. (Posted on 5/20/2011)
We predrill out the containers Review by Foley Tree Care

Found that predrilling works quite well. No containers broken since we've been doing that. Drill holes in tree; switch to larger drill bit, drill out holes in containers, put needles in, stick in tree, tap gently, hear a "pop", then push plunger till flush. Done. Works great! Really brings some trees back to life! They're full and lush now, after doing bunches this spring. (Posted on 7/8/2010)

The product seems to work well but the containers are entirely too fragile. I tried them twice and broke more than i used most of witch did not even break the seal. I could not be gentle enough with them even with a 6oz soft malet (Posted on 5/6/2009)
