NEW FOR 2013! Silky has taken the unique design of the straight Tsurugi and tweaked it just a bit in shape and size. The result is a much more aggressive blade in popular sizes which will still fit into tight crotches without damage to opposing limbs. Thanks to Silky’s creative team, the TSURUGI delivers perhaps the lightest weight, best balanced “big saw” ever produced, having no handle screws, nuts or extraneous hardware to keep it together. The comfortable, 2-part rubber grip is held together by an ingenious integration with the full tang blade. And as if the saw alone weren’t enough, the Silky TSURUGI CURVE comes in a unique aluminum scabbard that can be attached to the belt or leg depending on the users preference and has eight rollers protecting the entryway.

This saw doesn't play around Chuck Norris wears chainsaw chaps when handling this blade the only blade to this date to be able to cut Jesus crazy sharp! This is the 4th different silky I bought and my favorite and go to hand saw ideal for climbers who have to get in those tight crotches and makes a flush cut without having to go back and clean up your knuckles one and done wham bam thank-you ma'am if you're a professional and especially if you're a climber it would be highly recommended light, aggressive, beautiful sheath and will be your favorite hand saw have had the sugoi and zubat in the past but this one triumphs them all tsurugi means sword in Japanese and that's what it is a sword for arborist! Preeze and a shank u Japan for the silky products if your wasting your time on other hand saws that go dole quickly and don't think that the silkies worth twice as money well it holds an edge for about five times as long and the craftsmanship is well over Twice As Nice as its competitors definitely worth the money! Used to carry a zubat took a gamble on this saw. I am not disappointed cuts amazingly smooth. The scabbard is fantastic. The saw handle is comfortable and doesn't give me blisters even with prolonged use. If you purchase this saw you will not be disappointed in the least. (Posted on 9/25/2016)

I originally bought the medium tooth by accident which doesn't cut as aggressively as I'm used to. Picked up the large tooth version and love it. Gets into tight spaces. Used to use the Zubat but not any more. Highly recommend. (Posted on 10/8/2015)

This saw is everything an Arborist could ask for. I do a lot of big tree pruning climbs and this piece is my baby. Super sharp, super strong (despite how thin the blade is). Perfect for those hard to reach branches in the crotches (open-crotch policy). I had the opportunity to climb with one of the best national tree climber competitors in Colorado and he recommended this saw to me, and I recommend it to all! (Posted on 8/22/2015)
