Absolutely amazing. Gone are the days of hitch tying. Very smooth feed while ascending and once you are a few feet off of the ground the weight of the rope pulls itself through allowing you to keep moving without stopping to tend your line. Descending smoothly takes a little bit of finesse but once you figure it out, it's awesome. Only main drawback for me is that you have to feed your line through and leave it in. (Posted on 11/4/2017)
High quality product that works very smooth with a climbing system I'm already comfortable with. Review by Powerstroke

This is a very high quality piece of equipment. Rope feeds smooth and easy while taking up slack, but also is very manageable while descending without being "grabby". One draw back is that you have to feed your rope through the device instead of a prusik type of knot that I'm used to tying anywhere onto my climbing line. (Posted on 10/19/2017)

Just got it today and at first alittle disappointed that the 13mm safety blue was verrry tight getting it on the rope. I had to take the plastic end coating off witch in time comes off but then it's time for a new rope . I've used safety blue only for 10plus years that rope does not milk weather cut innhalf and used as a load line or brand new out of the box it's my favorite . All and all the zig zag is awesome and maybe some one can point me to a rope like the white safety blue that's alittle thinner thank you (Posted on 3/17/2017)

I've had the zigzag for about a year now with no mechanical faults no slippage. I find it very useful Wend descending out ofthe tree and if you use a 2 to 1 system For climbing it is pretty easy . I would buy another one. (Posted on 11/12/2016)

Pricy but well worth it!! I waited for the 15% sale and got one. Perfect for 11mm to 1/2 rope. The 11mm slides super smooth thru and tends it's own slack after about 15 feet up. Sliding down is also very controlled and easy. I don't know how I honestly climbed before this. (Posted on 10/29/2016)

Purchased 2 days ago now. First day played in yard testing it out, i went into it knowing full well the history and reception of zz. Will admit the zz had me excited and nervous, but something about it, a few minutes of 15 ft and i somehow just knew i could trust it. Used at work today and saw immediate results over current setup (VT, 3 hole pulley, and dmm swivel).

Still nervous to use it as lanyard for alt lanyard. Will keep close eye on it forever but the zz is an amazing piece of gear that has me thinking of other similar devises and all the possibilities (Posted on 10/29/2016)
Zig-Zag through the canopy in style! Review by Arborman76

I watched all the info on the ZZ when it first came out. I wanted one soooooo bad after seeing the function and features it has. I was fortunate enough to test drive one that Gary and Jared Abrojena were so nice to let us play with for a few days (Thanks Randy Hopp!) So I took the plunge and forked over the cash for this amazing tool! I am so impressed at its smooth operation, the self tending, and precise metering of rope! It all ads up to a pro looking, user friendly, fantastic all around modern tool! The only drawback (not really) is it can not be mid-line attached.

SHERRILLtree Response: Thank you for your review, Jeremy. Your t-shirt was sent 10/13/16. Thanks again! (Posted on 10/13/2016)

Makes DRT climbing so much easier than tending a blakes hitch. You can tighten up the rope with one hand and makes limb walking faster and easier. Price really isn't that bad for the quality of the product. Just break down and buy it, it'll be your favorite piece of equipment (Posted on 10/6/2016)

Very smooth. Lots of control. I switched from using a vt to this zigzag and i am very glad i did. The only draw backs is that it is double rope and not SRT, and you cant just unattach from the rope at any point in the tree without feeding it thru, but the benefits are far better. I just leave mine attached to my rope all the time and store it in my bag. (Posted on 6/15/2016)

Great product, only thing you need to know that I didn't when making the purchase; your rope can not have sliced eyes on both ends or you can't feed the rope through the zig zag to get it set-up. Also 13 mm blue streak is as large a rope as you could use. Other than that this is a great product I would recommend getting. Remember once its on your rope its best to leave it set up, because its a pain to put it on an take it off long ropes with spliced eyes. (Posted on 11/4/2014)

I was blown away how user friendly the ZigZag really is. being able to control descent with so precisely with only two fingers is a good confidence booster. Ive climbed also on the spiderjack and after using the ZigZag im going to sell the spiderjack. The zigZag is $100 cheaper and in my opinion way more comfortable to use. Also having the built in swivel is nice and its pretty streamline and doesn't get in the way. I would recommend this to any new or experienced climber looking for a smooth reliable friction hitch (Posted on 4/21/2014)
