I typically don't take the time to review products, but this saw was worth the effort. To say I am completely satisfied would be an understatement. Sometimes you have to spend a little extra to get a quality product such as this. (Posted on 10/2/2016)

I received my Zubat on Friday, and put it to work today. It rained yesterday and the trees were very slick. I needed the saw to cut as quickly as possible before losing my balance and footing. It zipped through everything I tried to cut. Great saw, and great deal on it from the Sherrill Tree Silky Saw Sale! It made my day, today. (Posted on 9/17/2016)

Very sharp. Efficient cutting. I wouldn't do without it now.

Novice users: keep the first aid kit handy! You WILL get cut before you learn to respect this beast.

Can't brag about the scabbard, though. I use my old leather one, redesigned so it's not cut to shreds. (Posted on 5/29/2016)

If you use a hand saw ,as soon as you put this blade in a tree you we will become addicted. I did Three 50' pines in one hour trimming for a 12.5 'kv line . With nothing but a zubat 330 period nothing else to say . But on the ground and down in one hour. (Posted on 3/7/2015)

The saw is great. Had a problem with the scabbard belt clip breaking off. Not a fun thing when your 40 feet up a tree. Zubat needs to make replacement parts for the scabbard. (Posted on 2/25/2015)

when walking in the woods, this saw is very handy when trimming trails, hinge cutting small trees. Fast cutting tool. The scabbard is a ideal way to carry for safety reasons and being right at your side. (Posted on 2/5/2015)
Best saw but cabbard wears out Review by Ben

This saw is worth the money. I've had one for a few years now. The scabbard is good strapped to your leg, but the plastic area that clicks when you insert the saw and holds it snuggly within the scabbard wears out in time. Mine has worn out, and now its common for the razor sharp saw to just slide out of the scabbard as I'm moving in a tree. That is so dangerous and unnerving that I have gone back to my old pony saw and scabbard. I was browsing here to get a replacement zubat scabbard but it appears the scabbard alone not available? That stinks. Sherrill, I need a replacement scabbard, please. (Posted on 11/14/2014)

UGLY SHARP * Be Careful. Review by Alex

This saw is one fine piece of equipment. Just be careful. I made the mistake of holding the saw in my righthand while pulling a cut branch with my left. When the limb fell the back of my hand brushed the blade. It sliced through the back of my leather glove like it was tissue. I wasn't cut too badly, thank god for the glove. Now I put the saw in the case before I haul away the limbs. This is the finest saw I have ever owned but she is totally unforgiving of mistakes. (Posted on 12/3/2013)
Prune Master! Review by Jeremy McCombs

The ZUBAT is a superior handsaw that crashes all competitors with ease. I pruned a 45' tall Red Oak with a 50 foot wide crown without ever starting a chainsaw!! Very comfortable to use for a Six hour project and I felt fine the next day due to the speedy cutting of the blade. This saw will be in my RopeBoss side pocket for as long as I prune trees. I have used Fanno, ARS, and Corona saws, none of them can touch Silky quality and endurance. (Posted on 5/12/2012)

Used to use a Fanno, not any more, WOW what a saw! This saw will breeze thru 2" to 3" limbs with ease. ( Watch your fingers ) I sometimes use this hand saw instead of cranking up a chainsaw ( Safer!) I will probably get a larger silky saw for larger work on high. This saw feels good in the hand and removes and returns easily to it's scabbard . It can be worn front handed or back handed on either side of saddle or leg mounted. Definately worth the money. (Posted on 3/27/2012)

I have several ornamental grasses that are about 6 feet tall. The stalks are as big as a pencil, and hard. It used to take hours to cut in the spring. The Zubat worked great, especially on the push stroke. It saved hours of work. The right tool for this job. (Posted on 3/19/2011)

This is by far the best handsaw I have ever used. It slices through small branches with 1 or 2 pulls and makes quick work of larger branches as well. (Posted on 11/25/2009)
