Lightweight, state-of-the-art telescoping folding pole saw - The pole saw of choice by professionals. The aluminum alloy extension poles are oval shaped, providing precise control over the direction of the blade (especially important for high cutting) thus reducing bending to the minimum. The base pole has a pole-end shock absorber and comfortable rubberized overgrip. This aluminum pole saw comes equipped with an innovative blade cover that securely locks to the lower pole when blade is folded. The 14-1/5-inch impulse-hardened curved blade utilizes proprietary Silky MIRAI-ME (Smooth Cutting) Technology - The Teeth of the Future! The precision-ground, razor-sharp teeth with four cutting angles provide fast, clean and extremely smooth cutting action. The aggressive curved blade cuts efficiently with less effort and maintains a superior wear resistant cutting edge. The taper-ground profile reduces drag and directs more usable energy to the cutting edge. It is ideal for pruning branches at a higher position without ever climbing a ladder. Yellow rigid-plastic blade cover is included. Made in Japan.

To allow effective use of LONGBOY pole saw, two locking systems are incorporated to assure structural rigidity of the extended poles: 1) locking pins/buttons - the primary pole locking mechanism; and 2) friction clamps - the secondary pole locking mechanism. The two systems are designed to work together. This dual locking system allows 100% of the effort at the handle to be effectively transferred to the blade up to 21 feet away. Spring-loaded locking buttons allow multiple length adjustments and safety friction clamps hold the extensions firmly in place. Safety considerations require that the pole saw user must wear a hard hat and eye protection at all times. Manufacturer Warning: Do not use aluminum telescoping pole saws around electrical power lines or equipment. Electrical shock may result. Incorrect use of the Silky pole saw may cause injury.

Great addition to the Silky family Review by Dave
Another Silky thats kicks butt! I've owned two other Sliky pole saws, and my goto hand saw aloft is Silky as well. As you would expect from this company the LONGBOY is high quality. I have only used it on one job so far, but I'm thoroughly impressed. Where all my other Silkys are approaching a decade of good use (with only replacing ONE blade). For anyone looking for a solid saw in a fairly compact package this is the saw for you. Buy it, you will not be disappointed.

SHERRILLtree Response: Thank you for your review, Dave. Your t-shirt was sent 10/13/16. Show off them GUNS! Thanks again! (Posted on 10/13/2016)
Superb Lightweight Polesaw Review by Charles
This saw is another amazing product from Silky! The newest version (feb-2015) is even better than the last. I love using this saw from the ground or aloft. It's very lightweight, durable, and most of all very sharp! I have used this saw for eight years and it is by far my favorite. The extensions are easy to use and lock into place easily. The scabbard has a belt loop/carabiner hole for multiple attachments to your saddle. The hook is an add-on item but the Foxhook is far superior to the standard hooks on a pole saw. It has a carabiner hole to secure it better in the tree while you bounce around and is a bit larger for more secure holds on limbs while pulling or pushing. I bought this saw for my personal set-up after one year of using this professionally and I love it. (Posted on 2/26/2015)
outstanding saw for in the tree or on the ground Review by EJ
If you fold the saw closed it makes its own hanging hook while your in the tree you dont "have to rig something up" :) (Posted on 8/25/2014)
Wheres the hook Review by Don
over all pretty good cause yes it does slide up and down and will eventually where out but it still has the locking buttons.just the only real problem i have is if this is made for cleaning and trimming and ect.y isnt there a hook to prop the thing in the tree while you may need to just let it hang so u can use your hand or chain saw so now i might have to rig something up.
