Got this and a new 200' snake bite. Usally use beeline but thought I would give epicord a try. Right out of that package it was very stiff hard to tie and would not bite in a vt. So tied a Mich and it seemed better but still slipping with rope wrench. Played with several other hitches in the yard and it got better and better. So once broke in a bit I went back to a 4 and 3 vt and it works great on the snake bite. 3 weeks with it several big removals and some dead outs and it works great easy and controllable release instant bite. And it takes heat great. Just take time and break it in and I think you will like it (Posted on 10/10/2017)

I've been using the new Armor Prus friction hitch cordage. I've been tying a michoacan friction knot with a poison ivy climbing line. The combination works great. The Armor Prus has a great feel to it, the release is fast, and yet tightens securely when I need it to. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a very responsive hitch when climbing.
