Personal protective equipment is no joke. It is the first and vital step to working safe day in and day out. But, as the name implies, it is personal—personal in choice, fit, and comfort. PPE that is uncomfortable, hot, and burdensome is about as useless as wet toilet paper!

Enter the new chainsaw pants from SherrillTree—the climbing pants adapted for tree work by tree workers. At a mere 3 lbs they are lighter than most on the market. Constructed of Armortex® abrasion-resistant fabrics featuring DuPont® KEVLAR®, they are as tough as you and your work.

Reinforced at the crotch, knees, and inside the calf, they can handle the sit, stand, climb, cut, squat, and crawl that tree climbers dish out. Wide belt loops and suspender buttons along with really comfortable waist elastic will keep these pants on any arborist—even those who suffer from the all-too-common “noassatall” syndrome.

Angled front pockets have zippers to keep sawdust out or, conversely, to keep it in when you walk through your kitchen because you forgot to close them on the job!

Functional rear pocket and a generous leg cargo pocket, complete with sleeve for your cell also have zippers and/or Velcro. Use both, use one—your choice.

The cuffs have Velcro cinching so you can seal off the tops of your boots to prevent sawdust from getting in.

The abrasion-resistant, two-way stretch fabric in front—and the dirt- and oil-resistant, antibacterial, four-way stretch in the back—work together to cover the eight layers of breathable warp-knitted, type-A chainsaw protection. This gives you the protection you need with the comfort and maneuverability you demand from protective apparel.

Sandpaper Review by Scott
I like the pants. The back of the pants are not that rugged, I have already stabed a hole in the side, but I think the price and the quality are about equal. My one dislike is that the are like sandpaper inside. But other then that I'd say buy them.

Needs more work Review by Dirtyrussian08 instagram
Ok so I was impressed the first day I received these pants. I’m a firm believer of chainsaw protection even when in the tree as it is required in the UK but being Stateside I still wear them. Only to find a week and I guess 2 days the fabric on the back section In grey is so thin it’s ripped on the smallest of pen tip peg compared to my arbortec treeflex pants that have been snagged tagged and in all temperatures across the states and still going strong.
If they address the fabric on the rear section to a more aggressive use than I would happily buy them and would review aswell

It's an investment Review by Orangemonkey
Bought 2 pair about a year ago. They run big but that's there only down side. The material the pants are made of shed water very well and don't ice up, I have a few holes starting but that's from catching the pants on things that would rip any material. There warm enough and cool enough for year round use. I spend a great deal of time in the canopy and wear these pants 60 hrs a week. Don't cheap out on safety. These have been a worth while investment. They also look pretty cool. (Posted on 1/20/2018)
