Hadnt had this helment long but needless to see im very impressed. I know everyone's head is different but its the most comfortable safety helment ive ever worn. It also doesnt hang up on snags while climbing. Its alittle heavier than a standard hard hat but the expanded protection and comfortable in my opinion is worth it. The adjustment took some time but it fits perfect. Great product. Its not cheap but good stuff usually isnt. Id recommend the protos. (Posted on 1/26/2017)

I bought this helmet when it was originally $299.00 back in November 2014. Obviously the price is up there. Spent about an hour adjusting it to my head size. I've spent countless hours in this helmet while climbing and ground work. You feel like your extremely secure and safe from random object. It's nice to have the integrated ear muffs not only for the sound but also for climbing through those thick trees that scrape against your head and continue to your shoulders. It's extremely beneficial while running ropes, you fell safe enough to look up always and when the branches come back and hit the tree; falling debris everywhere you're covered enough to know those small to medium sized branches will be stopped by the helmet and screen. Also good with chipping. You can load brush quicker without watching out for the random twisting of branches with those crazy bends. I have noticed the screen can lift up easily when loading brush into a chipper; getting snagged and lifting it up. The actually helmet itself is of top quality with more adjustments then you can think of. It does have top vents that are somewhat useful. I took a dremel and increased the venting size of the ports. If you like to work quickly and safely at the same time this helmet is for you. I would recommend getting a dark or non "power ranger" color. As my crew now refers to it has the power ranger helmet.

Pricey but VERY WELL MADE Review by Jhor

I like state of the art equipment. But $289 for a helmet was shocking. Upon arrival the helmet looked bulky, a fellow climber said he got headaches from it so I carefully READ the instructions and adjusted the helmet to my head it feels great and got no headaches during use. The stowable hearing protection shaves time off of my day. The face shield is tough. (Took a big chip while grinding it richocheted off work with a ting) Other than my boss saying I look like an astronaut I love this helmet. A little pricey but VERY WELL MADE.

After using this helmet for a year and a half I can definitely say this thing is heavy. After an hour or two a headache develops and I have a nice shelf on my forehead. That is the only negative I have to say. The fit , security and protection are all as advertised. (Posted on 3/25/2016)
