The Fly represents a quantum leap in the evolution of the static kernmantle. Designed for all vertical applications that interface with mechanical hardware, The Fly offers a level of performance never before thought possible. Not only does The Fly break down the conventional wisdom on performance, but also the notion that static kernmantles can;t be spliced. Built to the exacting EN 1891 standard for low-elongation ropes, The Fly offers a perfect combination of the low-stretch characteristics of a static rope, with the added safety of being able to withstand forces and absorb some of the energy generated by a fall. The FlySHERRILLtree unique construction creates a rope thatSHERRILLtree easy to knot, yet resists flattening and glazing

Great Rope Review by Gary

Aside from very fast shipping, great packaging and the lowest price around this rope is fantastic. Great hand with the added security of some dynamic stretch in the event of a short fall. Works great with mechanical ascenders. (Posted on 2/12/2015)

I never got to use this rope because I ordered it with a hand splice. Which doesn't pass at all easily through another product I purchased from you. A fimblesaver. You guys should put a note next to climbing lines that can only be hand spliced. There's nothing worse than coming down, getting your friction saver stuck then having to go back up and get it. Having said all this I swapped the fly for velocity blue. I have climbed with poison ivy for the past 8 years. Im switching over because it lacks durability. Frays amazingly. I have 6 poison ivy lines that are each under 3 months old that I have had to retire due to fraying. Going back to velocity blue. I have spent thousands of dollars with your company. I love your gear. And I will continue to purchase more. So if you feel it's right to reimburse me the 23 dollars I had to spend on shipping to return the fly with the hand splice that does not pass at all smoothly through your fimblesaver then I wont argue. Thanks a lot guys. Have a great June. (Posted on 6/17/2014)

This line is great. smooth, small, tough, and well priced. Only wish I had got mine with the spliced eye. I will when, if, this line ever burns out! (Posted on 6/15/2011)
