Footlock climbing is the technique of ascending rope by wrapping two ends of line around the feet, gripping tightly with the hands and inch worming to destination. A tether is attached to the climbers belt and tied as a prusik above the hands to create the secured footlock. Two problems exist; hand fatigue from gripping vertical rope and leg fatigue while waiting for the hands to push the prusik up. Kong's Double Handled Ascenders take the place of the prusik to provide an ergonomic power-grip that attaches midline in seconds (to single or double rope ends) Footlock climbers can zip up-line with an ease they never thought possible by employing this dual-handled aluminum twin ascender. Lightweight, small in size and built to with stand the daily abuse of tree work make this a natural for the modern arborist. For use on 7/16" to 1/2" lines, aluminum alloy construction with glow-in-the-dark grips.
