Blue Moon is a rope construction designed for use with advanced climbing tools and techniques, as well as with traditional methods. With its kernmantle construction (2 ropes in one), Blue Moon has a wonderful feel with great knot-tying characteristics, while designed for use with mechanical ascenders as well as self-belaying split tail techniques. This line is lightweight, spliceable and superbly suited to rope walking. Blue Moon keeps its round shape, even under heavy loads, instead of squaring off like lesser products. Blue Moon's smaller diameter cousin, Blaze, is well liked by climbers of all caliber and especially popular on competition circuits.
