Rec - 2006 Biltmore Estates

Asheville, NC climb - In 2006 SherrillTree, along with Biltmore Estates and the N.C. Urban Forestry Council, donated a recreational tree climb as an auction item to raise funds for the NCUFC. The auction was a success, bringing in much needed monies to a government agency that oversees urban-based tree-related issues like topping, hiring educated arborists and general tree awareness. Winning bidder Pete Griswood of Charlotte brought his wife to Asheville for a day of awesome climbing in two of the largest white oaks on the 8,000 acre Biltmore property. Present at the climb was Mike Tain (ArborMaster Training), Anne and Tobe Sherrill (SherrillTree), Bill Hascher (Biltmore’s head arborist) and Bob Wray (Blue Ridge Tree Climbing, LLC). All had a very good time.
