The fabric has also been treated with TEFLON®HT, which makes the fabric water, oil and dirt repellent. All these elements provide more durability, longer lasting use and provide a high level of protection for those working in the tree care industry. The reinforcements with ARMORTEX® (based on 31% Kevlar®) on the knees and other vulnerable points, makes this piece of tree climbing gear even more outstanding.

fit and mobility are amazing

Comfort, durability, ease of motion, and attention to details separate the SIP pants from the competition. The fit and mobility is amazing and after a year of hard-core nearly non-stop use the fabric looks like new. I’d sleep in these pants if my wife would let me!

best pants I've ever climbed in

I've worn almost every pair of pants on the market. I've beaten, tortured and harassed them all and nothing even came close to the comfort I felt while wearing these pants. The stretchy material moves perfectly with your body, the fabric is light weight and breathable and the fit is perfect. The built in gators are a great touch to keep out saw dust but they need to reinforce the buckle that holds it to your boot. Mine ripped off within a few weeks. Also the knee padding can get very warm in the summer months but that's the price you pay for added protection. If you're torn between these pants and the arborwear ascension pants, spend the extra couple of bucks and buy these. It's worth every dollar

Second Pair

I Now have Two pairs . i was so pleased with the first pair after climbing pretty much every day for a year . i went ahead and got a second pair. Super comfy on long days in the air , never chafing in the waist like jeans . ive got a few holes little hole here and there from the odd hand saw scrape , on my first pair , so now there vented for summer .the only things i would change are the gators , as stated above the boot hook ripped out on both my pairs . so i just ended up cutting out the gator all together . that made them a little more breathable . maybe if they made the gators out of HD mesh and put a more sturdy boot hook (more the attachment) than they would be perfect. and the second pair had some updates, bigger buttons and a different thigh pocket on the right leg . the zipper is vertical , i used this pocket on my first pair for my hand snips, i liked it , now i never use the pocket . so i might un-stitch the top for my snips. overall for climbing , this is the top of the line stuff.
