A systemic fungicide, containing Bayleton, as well as a fertilizer solution including nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Systrex controls some plant diseases, but has been particularly effective in treating other conifers and hardwoods suffering from the effects of construction or natural damage. The Tree Tech microinjection unit is a single-dose manually-pressurized device for administering chemicals directly into the vascular system of trees and woody shrubs. Injection is simple. Upon professional evaluation that an application is favored, the administrator determines the number of micro units based on the species and caliper of the plant to be treated. A small hole is drilled at the base of the tree for immediate insertion and release of the microinjection treatment. Uptake is immediate in most cases. Although injection is often quickly effective, it is not a cure-all for trees in decline. Like any process that affects a tree's health, educate yourself so that you can provide the best service for your customers and their trees.

poor design

The product seems to work well but the containers are entirely too fragile. I tried them twice and broke more than i used most of witch did not even break the seal. I could not be gentle enough with them even with a 6oz soft malet

We predrill out the containers

Found that predrilling works quite well. No containers broken since we've been doing that. Drill holes in tree; switch to larger drill bit, drill out holes in containers, put needles in, stick in tree, tap gently, hear a "pop", then push plunger till flush. Done. Works great! Really brings some trees back to life! They're full and lush now, after doing bunches this spring.

Mixed Results

I break about one out of six so I'm not too happy about that. They fracture at the neck. But the product has worked well to control cedar-apple rust on our prairifire crabapple planted 50 feet from an Eastern Red Cedar. This year I wanted to experiment so I used Alamo, instead. That was a big mistake. First, the fluid is so thick that the tree emptied only 60% of the units even though I left them in for 12 hours before giving up. Second, after I made my purchase, I saw in the instructions the disclaimer that Alamo won't work the first year. Our crabapple shows signs of serious infection and it's only the third week in May.I'm going back to Systrex.
