This ingenious evolution of the ring-style friction saver gives critical lifelines and rigging lines a vastly improved rope running surface without significant increase in weight or bulk. Designed by Port-a-Wrap co-inventor Scott Prophett and machinist Scott Winningham, the MagBloc provides lines with two side-by-side, smooth-rolling sheaves that virtually eliminate friction while greatly enhancing bend radius for guest ropes.

Just like conventional friction savers, the MagBloc can be installed or removed quickly from the ground or an adjacent tree using only throwline and weight. Once set, the two-part rope channel magically snaps together using powerful magnets inset within the system’s grooved, self-aligning frame for perfect inline action.

Warning: Never utilize for life support any products that have experienced shock-loading. For example, do not utilize rigging products for climbing activities. Designed to be used by an individual with a maximum weight of 350 pounds when fully equipped.

Not Bad

A good piece of equiment to have in your arsenal of gear, but very expensive. Some problems with setting / removing from tight crotches and people might want to consider replacing the cord with something a little shorter, just a little long. Climbing on a dynamic system through a block adds alot of wear on your climbing hitch. Sometimes friction is a good thing.
