This simple and flexible “conduit-style” rope sleeve presents a number of advantages over alternative methods, not the least of which are very simple installation and removal. If you are already accustomed to using a sleeve rather than ring or pulley, here’s something you’re really going to love about the Caterpillar—because it’s not C-shaped like leather versions, it slides freely down rope without manipulation. There’s no need to pull rope through it to prepare for installation. It stays low until you’re ready to go. This is also convenient when redirecting your tie-in point (TIP) aloft—just pull it from the crotch and the Caterpillar slides to the lowest point, even the opposite end if necessary. We recommend one for each end on double-spliced ropes, then there’s always one awaiting the redirect. The Caterpillar is highly durable and made of galvanized steel conduit with thick PVC jacketing. Weight (per foot) 5-oz.
